Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 package taco seasoning
- 3 tablespoons Ketchup
- 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese
- 6 cheddar cheese slices
- 6 tomato slices
- 6 flour tortillas warmed
- 2 teaspoons chili powder (optional)
Steps:
- In medium bowl combine ground beef, taco seasoning, ketchup, and chili powder
- Mix well and form into 12 patties
- Sprinkle 6 of the patties with cheese
- Use the other 6 patties to seal in the cheese so it does not leak out while cooking
- Grill or broil burgers, for 12 minutes (flip halfway through)
- Top with extra cheese
- Place burger and tomato slice on tortilla
- Fold in both sides
- Wrap bottom of tortilla over top, and toothpick in place
Tips:
- Serve with salsa and sour cream
- Add lettuce or onion
- Use Mexican cheese
- Chop burgers in half and use hard taco shells
